The Stokvis Group has recently acquired the electrotechnical specialist Verhoef EMC. Active in the maritime and industrial/utility markets, Verhoef EMC is a logical and promising addition to existing Stokvis companies as EMCÉ Winches, ELSTO Drives & Controls and in particular ADS van STIGT. All companies operate in the same markets and for the same type of customer albeit each with their own speciality.

Maritime activities

Verhoef EMC designs and installs electrotechnical systems for maritime applications in the broadest sense. This not only includes switch boards, control panels and associated components, but also the design and installation of complete (hybrid) propulsion systems. All panels and systems are designed and produced inhouse in Sliedrecht, where competent project management and an experienced design team will provide effective solutions for even the most complex applications, including LR, DNV or BV compliant installations.

Utiliteit en industrie

Activities range from installing or overhauling the complete electrical system of a building to adding that extra wall socket or converting a building to LED illumination. Building mains control panels, UPS and emergency generator backup systems, installing Electrical Vehicle charging points, lightning protection, fire warning and closed circuit TV systems or NEN 3140 inspections. Verhoef EMC makes sure the owners of the premises have nothing to worry about.

Service orientated

Verhoef EMC provides a worldwide service for electrical installations. Maintenance, repair, renovation, inspection or certification, experienced well trained staff is available around the globe for both planned and emergency interventions in the maritime and industrial sector.

Large component stock

A large inhouse stock enables short notice supply of spare parts and components to both customers and our own service teams the world over. If a part is not in stock, it is sourced from our large network of trusted suppliers, or specially produced where necessary.

Quality since 1954

Verhoef EMC started in 1954 as Verhoef Electrical Engineering and has always been located in Sliedrecht. Until the merger with EMC, Verhoef Elektrotechniek was mainly focused on panel construction, installation work and engineering. EMC was active in Southeast Asia in the field of project management, engineering, power transmission and the commissioning of offshore vessels. Together, Verhoef EMC now offers a “one-stop shopping”.
